My craving
I had a craving for my jambalaya from scratch. I finally talked myself into making it and so I set upon my task of cutting ham, sausage and chicken and browning those while chopping and dicing veggies.I was cruising along enjoying the smells emanating from my pot, and had reached the stage of bringing it to a boil. That's when I stepped away for a second.
And I learned something valuable.
When I watch and hover around my cooking stuffs, it always takes way too long for the appropriate action to take place. The moment I step away, the action springs to life. This time, my boil became a rolling, thundering boil which promptly burned the bottom of my concoction, contaminating my wonderful food.
I was pissed.
Oh well, I'll get it next time.
